  • Lotus name D'Ambrosio as third driver - Lotus have announced that Jerome D'Ambrosio will become their third driver for the 2012 season, supporting racers Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean. D'Ambrosio spent last year competing for Virgin but was dropped from their race line-up at the end of 2011. “It's a great feeling to be joining Lotus F1 Team,” said the 26 year-old Belgian. “It's an exciting next step in my career. I contested a complete season in F1 as a race driver for a smaller team where I learnt a lot about Formula One. Now, I have the opportunity to work with one of the top teams with great potential for my future development.
  • Webber reveals details of 2012 Tasmania Challenge - Red Bull's Mark Webber has confirmed his charity fundraiser, the Swisse Mark Webber Tasmania Challenge, will return in 2012. The gruelling event sees adventure-loving competitors enjoying the chance to run, mountain bike, climb and kayak at stunning locations across the Australian state. The 2012 Swisse Mark Webber Tasmania Challenge will get underway in Launceston on November 28, with Webber jetting in directly from the final round of the Formula One season in Brazil.
  • Raikkonen feeling positive after test return - Kimi Raikkonen was back behind the wheel of a Formula One car on Monday, as he began on-track preparations for his planned comeback this season. Raikkonen, who will race for Lotus (formerly Renault) in 2012, completed around 300 kilometres in the team's 2010 R30 during a private test at the Spanish circuit of Valencia. "It was a good first day!” explained the 2007 world champion. “Having not driven a Formula One car for two years and obviously with a new team, there is a lot to get used to. I'm happy because I was pretty quick to get back in the groove. Obviously you get more into the zone with the more laps you complete, as you discover more about the car and the tyres.
  • Circuit of The Americas opens Select Seating Wait List - Circuit of The Americas has opened its ticketing process by launching its Select Seating Wait List for events at the track beginning with the 2012 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, to be held on November 16-18.
